I still feel a little bittersweet even though it has been nearly 6 years since I sold my dance studio to one of my employees. I still love my dancers and miss them but I don't miss the hours & hours of paperwork and cleaning up after 500 students.
Coined "the little pink dance studio" by my friend & tap teacher, Gregory, it was extra cute on this rare snow day. I still own the pink building but not the business. I'm so happy I still have my non-profit ballet company which lives at our Theatre because without that connection to the magical world of ballet I would not have the pleasure of seeing a little Gingersnap present a bouquet to the Sugar Plum Fairy...
I am happy that Mr. Arnaz is SO generous with his technical ability. He brings our productions to life inside our incredible theatre. And I'm so happy he is adored by our ballerinas.
Thanks to Roxanne for this photo of Mr. Arnaz and her
daughters that she labelled "Desi Sandwich."
I love classical music and tutus, flowers and tiaras. I love seeing a little girl begin ballet and blossom into a real ballerina 10 years later. Having the studio was a dream come true for me because Haley could come to "work" with me every single day when she was a little girl. That's a mothers prayer. And to say I am proud of Haley for learning to dance is the truth. She's incredible.
Life is different now... and I like it! I'm going to close the comment option on my blog for a while to save YOU the time it takes to comment. Thank you for reading and hopefully enjoying my periodic vents, rants, feelings and mostly my Insights from the Magic Tutu. Oh! And I hope you like my new blog banner.
xoxo Amy

Along with pink roses, kittens and God's abundance, ballerinas are certainly one of the most beautiful gifts our eyes can behold. ~ Amy Arnaz
The Nutcracker came and went but the magic lingers. Thank you girls.

Hi Mom! I hope you have somehow figured out how to read my blog. I have a new, bionic knee that should last till I'm 80. Wish you were here so we could share everything with you. Miss you lots....
Wish you would have lived longer so you could see your beautiful granddaughters all grown up.

So nice to see that the babies finally have a prominent name attached to their plight. Please click the link (above) to view a page from the orphanage and at the bottom of the page is a link to a wonderful video Kristin made at the orphanage.

Built in 1933 during the construction of Hoover Dam, the Hotel is the heartbeat of our town. It houses the Boulder Dam Museum, a variety of quaint shops and 28 guest rooms. Will Rogers, Shirley Temple and several Presidents have slept here. You'll love it too.
Grow old with me! The best is yet to be.
